Tom Sunstrom - Partner

Tom Sunstrom experienced an exciting lead up to the real estate business. He was a professional actor in Los Angeles from 1992-1999. That lead to becoming an acting professor in Wisconsin. Although he enjoyed teaching, he and his wife didn’t enjoy living so far from family. They started exploring opportunities to move closer to family. For Tom that is Boston, for his wife that is Lufkin, Texas. Once Texas was agreed upon, they visited Austin and fell in love with the Texas Hill Country.

Tom’s wife, Betsy, is a theatre teacher at Deerpark Middle School. They have three daughters, Hannah, Harper and Nora. They also have a cat named Nacho, a golden lab named Cooper, and a tank full of fish all currently named "fishy". Tom’s other interests include cooking, gardening, reading, scuba diving, woodturning, coffee, camping and ALL Boston sports teams. He is the founder of the Austin’s Men’s Cooking Club and an active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. You may recognize him from a recent episode of HGTV’s House Hunters.

Tom’s desire is to be on a "first name" basis with every Austin resident by his 50th birthday. His key to success as a real estate agent is that he works 100% by referral. He brings a level of customer service to each transaction that creates "raving fans" of his clients. He counts on his clients/friends to help him build his business. Thus, he continues to work with GREAT people.
